Machine handlers for stage events
Our stage crew can handle a range of lifting equipment, enabling you to construct a stage or display with sound, visuals, and lighting as needed. Our qualified and capable machine handlers can utilise a variety of equipment for your production or display, enabling you to create the set you need:
Chain hoists
These are commonly used in theatrical productions to lift and move heavy set pieces, such as platforms and walls. Chain hoists can be manually operated or motorized, and they are typically suspended from the venue's rigging system.
Counterweight systems
These are a type of rigging system that uses weights to counterbalance the weight of set pieces and scenery. Counterweight systems can be used to raise and lower set pieces, as well as move them horizontally across the stage.
Scissor lifts
These mobile platforms can be raised and lowered using hydraulic power. Scissor lifts are often used for working at height during stage construction or for installing lighting and sound equipment.
Forklifts
Our qualified staff use forklifts to move heavy set pieces and equipment. Forklifts are particularly useful for loading and unloading trucks and transporting set pieces around the venue.
Telehandlers
Our telehandlers are fully qualified and experienced in driving a wide range of vehicles, enabling you to solve an array of logistical problems.
Aerial work platforms
These are mobile platforms that can be raised and lowered using hydraulic power, similar to scissor lifts. Aerial work platforms are often used for working at height during stage construction or for installing lighting and sound equipment, but they can also be used to move smaller set pieces and props.
